How’s your child care provider doing?
It’s good to know a bit about your child care provider. Let’s face it, they will be taking care of your child more than half of the day. Your child will be influenced and picking up habits from this person. Do you know your child care provider?
I am a mother to three young boys. I had the dilemma of whether to stay home or go out into the workforce again. I decided to get my child care license and choose to stay at home. I use to be a teacher and I thought my experiences with children and having my own would be a great experience for me and my children.
Child care providers should have a passion for what they do. It’s important to use your gut instincts when you go and meet with your potential child care provider. I love what I do and I know how much I influence children. I have met so many other child care providers that don’t give a care about what they do. I mean come on, we are educators too. We are educating and influencing young minds that are infant and toddlers. Some people thing teaching kindergarten is difficult, try child care.
A good child care provider does things with a smile, stays calm, and always does things in a child’s best interest. Watch how he/she interacts with the child. Like I said before always use your gut instinct. Don’t be scared to ask questions. A good child care provider should make you feel at ease when you leave your child with them.
I’m just writing this blog to let everyone know that there are crooked child care providers out there who are only out there for the money and who could be endangering your child. Be aware of your child care providers behavior. I find that being happy and cheery makes the kids happy and cheery.
I love my job and I want to make sure that others do too. It’s important who you have watching your kids. Do your research ahead of time and ask questions.
